Facilitation

Workshops, Groups & Learning Spaces

I facilitate workshops, groups, and professional learning spaces that make room for curiosity, complexity, and lived experience.

Rather than presenting one right way to understand a topic, I create spaces where people can ask questions, think critically, and explore different perspectives. Participants can connect what they learn with their own experiences, relationships, work, and communities.

My workshops draw on clinical practice, lived experience, trauma-informed approaches, and an anti-oppressive lens. Depending on the audience and setting, topics may include trauma and the nervous system, religious trauma and spiritual abuse, queer and trans-affirming practice, gender exploration, embodiment, grief, relationships, and alternative family structures.

I am also interested in how we can support others without losing connection to ourselves. Workshops can therefore include practical tools for building more sustainable ways of working and relating.

Workshops for Therapists & Helping Professionals

I offer professional training for therapists, psychotherapists, social workers, educators, and other helping professionals who want to deepen their understanding and strengthen their practice.

I adapt workshops for clinical teams, professional organizations, training programs, and other groups. Depending on your needs, we might focus on practical skills, expand clinical frameworks, or explore the impact of systems, identity, and power.

We can also look at experiences that are not well represented in conventional professional training. Because people rarely fit neatly into one framework, I make space for complexity, uncertainty, and questions that do not have simple answers.

Examples of Workshop & Group Topics

  • Arts-Based Gender Exploration Groups for Youth
These groups offer young people creative spaces to explore gender, identity, and self-expression. Art and other expressive practices can provide ways to explore questions that may be difficult to put into words.
  • Grief Processing Groups
These groups create space to explore grief, share experiences, and make meaning alongside others. They recognize that grief takes many forms and does not follow one predictable path.
  • Gender Support Groups for Adults
These groups support adults who are exploring gender, navigating transition, or reflecting on identity and self-expression. Participants can explore these questions alongside others with similar experiences.
  • Understanding Gender Diversity: Education for Clinicians
This practical training supports clinicians working with trans, non-binary, and gender-expansive clients. We explore affirming practice while also considering the assumptions about gender that can shape clinical relationships.
  • Supporting Loved Ones Who Have Experienced Sexual Violence
This training supports friends, partners, family members, and other loved ones who want to respond with care after sexual violence. We explore ways to reduce harm and better understand what can support healing.
  • Understanding Religious Trauma: Belonging, Belief, and Safety
This workshop explores religious trauma and spiritual abuse within high-control religious environments. We examine how fear, shame, obedience, certainty, belonging, and love can become deeply intertwined.

These experiences can continue to shape identity, relationships, autonomy, and a person’s sense of safety long after they leave.

Learning That Connects to Real Life

Whether I am facilitating a professional training, community workshop, or therapeutic group, I want to create spaces where people can think, feel, question, and connect.

For me, meaningful learning is not simply about remembering information. Sometimes it is a question that stays with us or a perspective that shifts how we understand something we thought we knew.

Sometimes, it helps us notice a possibility that was difficult to see before. In that way, learning can become more than something we take in; it can become something we carry into our work, relationships, and lives.

I create workshops with room for all of that: curiosity, reflection, connection, and the possibility of seeing something differently.
